Technical Requirements

In order to take full advantage of Domoscio, a minimum configuration is necessary, but no installation is required. This article gives you all the details about this !

> Hardware

Make sure that the following hardware requirements are met: a screen with a minimum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and 512 MB of RAM.

> Internet browsers

Make sure you have a compatible browser: Domoscio recommends using Chrome.

  • Google Chrome (only the latest stable versions)
  • Safari (only the latest stable versions)
  • Microsoft Edge (only the latest stable versions)
  • Mozilla Firefox (only the latest stable versions)

> Operating system

As long as the browser is compatible with the use of Domoscio, you can use the operating system of your choice.

  • Linux (all versions)
  • Windows (7 and higher)
  • MacOs (10.9 and higher)
  • iOS (11 and higher)
  • Android (7.0 and higher)
  • ChromeOS (all versions)

> Devices

As long as the browser is compatible with the use of Domoscio, you can use the device of your choice.

Domoscio's interfaces are responsive on devices with a minimum screen resolution of 375px x 667px.

> Internet  connexion

Minimum recommended bandwidth : 512 kbit/s for all uses, excluding video streaming.

When there is multimedia content: a minimum and stable bandwidth of 2 Mbps is required. This will affect the quality of the multimedia stream. 5 Mbps should provide good quality.

> Email exchanges

Domoscio sends notification emails to its users. To receive these notifications, it is necessary to whitelist any server with the name : mail-out.ovh.net*, or any other company application that can filter these emails. Other addresses can also be used, such as support@domoscio.com, so it is advisable to authorize the entire domain @domoscio.com.

*OVH does not recommend whitelisting via IP because they are potentially subject to change.
