Text Editor - Create your own templates

  • Updated

Prerequisites Feature enabled by an administrator in Customisation > Text Editor > Custom style.
Available on the web only.

Key benefits:

  1. Instant harmonisation: Align the appearance of your content (headings, paragraphs, lists) in one click, according to your organisation’s style guide.
  2. Visual consistency: Ensure a coherent visual identity across all your steps, without repetitive manual edits.
  3. Time savings: Reduce formatting time so you can focus on what matters: instructional value.

Configure your Text Editor

Define the style guide that will be applied automatically to the editor’s text content. Settings are centralised at the organisation level and apply immediately to users once configured in your settings.

  • Access the settings: Open the Customisation > Text Editor menu.
  • Enable the feature: Make sure the style application option is enabled for the editor.
  • Define the style guide: Configure colours, fonts, sizes, weights, line heights, spacing, and list/link styles.
  • Specify by block type: Configure H1, H2, paragraphs, lists (UL/OL), block quotes, etc., according to your style guide.
  • Save and check: Save your settings. Changes take effect immediately in the editor (web only).

Good to know
Accurate history: each click on creates a separate action; undo step by step with ⌘/Ctrl + Z.
Admin-managed styles: the style guide (colours, fonts, line heights, etc.) is the single source of truth and applies in real time.
Structure preserved: HTML semantics (H1, H2, P, UL…) are not modified; only the stylesheet changes.
Compatibility: web only for now.

Apply your style in one click

The “Apply style” button (icon ) in the text editor automatically applies the administrator-defined style to an entire text area or only to a selection.

  • Without selection: Click to apply the default style to all content in the step.
  • With selection: Select a portion of text, then click to apply it only to that selection.
  • Undo an action: Use Undo (⌘/Ctrl + Z or Ctrl + Z). Each click on creates its own history step.
