Custom Translation Glossary — Personalise your AI translations

  • Updated

Prerequisites: be an Administrator and have access to Localisation settings.
For each term you add, the system automatically applies your approved translation to future translations (AI and non-AI).

Key benefits:

  1. Terminology customisation — ensure your industry jargon, brand terms, acronyms, and regulatory terms are always translated the way you defined.
  2. Language quality and consistency — translation models automatically apply your glossary to harmonise all translations.
  3. Quick and easy management — download, edit, and re-upload your glossary file at any time, in Excel (.xlsx) format.

What is the Custom Glossary?

The Custom Glossary is a new Rise Up feature that allows each client to define their own approved translations for key words or expressions. This glossary is automatically applied every time a new translation is generated in the platform using AI or internal tools.

How does the glossary work?

As soon as a term appears in your glossary file, Rise Up will automatically apply your approved translation to future translations.
👉 Important: the glossary is not retroactive: existing translations are not overwritten.

Manage your custom glossary

Before you start

  • Make sure you have downloaded either your existing glossary or the Excel template provided by Rise Up.
  • Each row corresponds to a source term plus its approved translation in one or more languages.
  1. Download the glossary file
Access the glossary from the Localisation menu, then open the AI translation glossary menu. You can download the Excel template or import your current glossary.
  2. Edit your glossary in Excel
Add your technical terms, brand terms, acronyms… then complete the columns for the supported languages.
  3. Glossary_excel_demo.gif
  4. Re-upload the file into Rise Up
In the same section, click “Import” to upload your .xlsx file.
  5. Check the result
During a future AI translation, the system will apply your rules automatically.
  6. Final — Expected outcome
Your translations are now harmonised, consistent, and applied uniformly across the platform.

Helpful notes:
The glossary only impacts translations generated after it is imported. Make sure the file keeps its Excel structure to avoid errors.
